Living the Nantucket Life in College Park

Hello again y’all!

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Nantucket, but since I have yet to visit there, I like to live the Nantucket life in my hometown, College Park. While I grew up in Norcross, Georgia, my parents moved us to College Park when I was a freshman in high school to be in walking distance from Woodward Academy, the school I attended. While I often miss the many fun places to go in the Norcross area, I have truly come to appreciate the friendly vibe of this small own during my stay here in quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic.

College Park is home to Woodward Academy, the busy Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, and many kind, sweet, incredible people. My next-door neighbor, Sabrina, works at Delta Airlines, and she is the sweetest soul in the world. She shares my love for all things Lilly Pulitzer, David Yurman, and Tory Burch. I borrowed this adorable bicycle from her, and as I was riding through the neighborhood, I saw a big Delta Jet take off and wondered if it was headed to Nantucket or the Cape! Velma, my other next-door neighbor, is a close friend of my mom's, and she is a wonderful, sweet woman with such a warm personality.

While pretending that I am riding through Nantucket, I am wearing one of my favorite pink and green (of course) Lilly Pulitzer dresses from the Spring 2020 collection. I bought it on Poshmark at a super fab deal! I borrowed my mother's most precious sunhat and wicker bag. I am dying to get one of my own! The Lilly Pulitzer Redford Wicker Crossbody Bag (below) is the handbag I have been eyeing for a long time. I think this is one of my favorite outfits I have worn in quite a while!

I would often complain about College Park while living there as a teenager, about how there are not many places to go nearby. It is a far drive to go shopping, and there are but few close restaurants. It is not the most eventful area. However, being back here in the quarantine, I have come to love the place I call home. Everyone is so friendly and inviting. Today, I will be returning to Southern Florida to be back at school, and I will really miss the community here. I will see you again soon College Park!
