Lexie’s All-Time Favorite Restaurant
Being the foodie I am, dining out is one of my favorite pastimes. My favorite restaurant of all time is the Melting Pot. I go to the Melting Pot almost every birthday, and I sneak in other trips when I can! I love going there for special occasions or just for fun. Their cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, and meal entrees are so delicious and savory; it leaves me speechless!
The Melting Pot’s Classic Alpine cheese fondue is their best cheese fondue in my opinion. It is made some of the most heavenly cheeses, including guyere cheese, one of my favorites! It is so incredibly delicious. I also love the super tasty Wisconsin Cheddar. After eating their cheese fondue, I wish I could have more every time! Cheese fondue is one of my favorite foods; my family makes cheese fondue to eat at home every Christmas. The Melting Pot’s cheese fondues are some of the best I’ve tasted!
When you order a traditional four-course meal at the restaurant, salad comes after cheese fondue and before the main entree. Being the basic you-know-what I am, I always get Caesar. The Caeser salad at the Melting Pot, however, is special. I usually do not care for nuts, but the ones in this salad are super yummy! The salad dressing always has just the right amount of flavor.
The melting pot has so much options for main entrees. I swear by the teriyaki sirloin. It is so flavorful and juicy, one of the best tasting steaks I have ever had! And it tastes AMAZING dipped in the teriyaki sauce. If you like steak, you will love their teriyaki marinated sirloin! Their duck also tastes incredible. I do not typically eat duck, but I am obsessed with the duck at the Melting Pot. The flavor of the meat is extraordinary. I also love their seafood. Their shrimp is excellent, and wonderful dipped in the ginger sauce. I love to treat myself to a lobster tail sometimes on my birthday or an occasion that is extra-special. It tastes heavenly!
The Melting Pot does also offer Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-free options. I myself would love to be a Vegetarian, but have not quite gotten myself to that level. I have a friend who is Vegetarian who inspires me. She is one of the biggest animals lovers I know.
Of course, you can’t go to the Melting Pot without trying their glorious chocolate fondue. Their dessert fondue is so delicious and appetizing; I can never have enough! I love to order the milk chocolate, the white chocolate, the milk and white mixed, and the s’mores. The s’more chocolate fondue is one of the most popular, and it is soooo amazing. It is as you would imagine: dark chocolate with marshmallows and gram crackers, except I like to get milk chocolate instead. Sometimes, I also like to switch out the gram crackers with crunched up orios, which is so good! The chocolate fondue comes with so many different dipping options, including strawberries, brownies, pound cake, marsh mellows, and riced crispy treats. They way I know their chocolate fondue is one of the best desserts I’ve had is that even when I am impeccably full, I am still craving more!
The Melting Pot has a special place in my heart. I have had so many dinners and so much quality time with friends and family there. It is so cozy and romantic; you can close the curtains to your booth to make it feel more private. I love fine dining, and the Melting Pot, for their incredible food and beautiful atmosphere, is one of my most cherished places to dress up fancy and girly, have fun, and spend time with people I love.
