Asheville Shenanigans

North Carolina may just be my dream state. There are so many places to shop, hike, eat, and enjoy nature. A while ago this summer, my parents and I visited The Highlands, and for Thanksgiving, we vacated in Asheville, a truly charming area. Asheville was definitely a tremendous place to spend the holiday of giving thanks. We had a spectacular family vacation in a new and exciting location.

The décor at the house we stayed in was to die for; I was in love! It was decorated to the nines with Christmas accessories. I was very happy that I got to stay in the pink bedroom. It was decorated very Victorian-style; it had an ultra-feminine feel, definitely my vibe.

At Asheville, there were some mainstream shops and some more unique stores and small businesses in the local town. I visited a lady’s small business with bohemian-style accessories (something different for me as I’m more accustomed to the preppy look) and purchased some essential oils that I am so excited to share with you all soon. I also couldn’t resist stopping by Kilwin’s to get myself a chocolate caramel apple. My last purchase that day in town was a rose-gold colored hat at a souvenir shop, something I needed since it was so chilly outside!

On Thanksgiving Day, we had the typical turkey and mashed potatoes. I am honestly not the biggest fan of Thanksgiving food, but my dad and I made a healthy flourless chocolate cake for dessert which I enjoyed; it was delicious! I am not the best at cooking, but it was so fun to help my dad make the tasty cake. It tasted different, but super yummy!

Asheville is known for its incredible mountains. The Blue Ridge Mountains had the sweetest views. The Lookout Mountain was challenging to hike up, but the views were spectacular.

Overall, the weekend gateway was a blast. I love North Carolina so much I may just move there one day. I hope you all had an amazing and blessed Thanksgiving!

Love y’all,

Lexie
